Come Go With Me To That Land (no label MA 4001) 1975?
The Swedish male/female duo of Karin Byrmo and Bertie Holmgren recorded this lovely folk custom while students at Trinity College. The finger—picked acoustic guitars blend beautifully as do the vocal harmonies, all working together to place their charming and unique stamp on songs like ‘Moming Has Broken’, ‘I Wandered The Streets’, Cliff Richard’s ‘Supersonic Jets’ and Jonathan and Charles’ ‘Streetlamp’ (which has a cool steel drum fadeout). Studio musicians add electric guitar, 12-string, piano, bass and drums, yet the project retains a warm home-made folky sound with occasional ventures into light rock or jangly folk-rock. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the song list.
