Uncle “D” Talks With Charlie & Sheila (Rulen RS—76369) 1976? Canada *

With so many Christian dummy records out there, it’s nice to have a few variations, in this case dummies with British accents. The London-born Dennis Scott, otherwise known as Uncle herein teams up with his dummies Charlie (the impish, quick-witted one) and Sheila (the shy, quiet one) to give us another humble album of Bible storytelling and mousy high—pitched off-key songs. All three take turns on the choruses for piano-backed tunes like ‘I Don’t Want To Be A Jonah’, ‘Grumblers’, ‘Come Leave Your House In Grumbling Street’ and ‘You Can’t Stop God From Loving You’. The requisite home-made cover photo of the threesome does not disappoint. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.  Thank you Laura for locating the cover photos and track list.
