Thank You Lord (Crusade LPS 697) 1976?
Wonderful little home-made folk lp of the coffee-house variety. Jan’s songs range from playful spirited numbers to moody minor-key ballads ala Marj Snyder. Sounds more like a female duo than a solo lp as she mixes in her own harmonies, very creatively I might add. Features twelve of her own songs, plus ‘Amazing Grace’ and Sister Janet Mead’s ‘The Lord’s Prayer’. Jan on acoustic guitar, sometimes backed by others on congas, percussion and bass. Pictured on the back with her Reverend husband, looking rather sinister with his dark sunglasses, goatee, killer sideburns, semi-long hair and turtle-neck. Part of Agape Fellowship, Inc. in Decatur, Illinois. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet.
