Goodbye hippie girl, hello glamour lady. Despite its later date, Love Eyes holds back for the most part from overly slick ccm tendencies, staying true to a simple easy-going country flavored Jesus music sound, for which the title track, ‘Hidden Treasure’ and ‘New Day’ all fit the bill. Also the usual orchestrated easy-listening ballads. The rocking ‘Radio Man’ with its sharp lead electric guitar is a pleasant surprise. Includes several of Jamie’s songs, along with others written by Randy Boldt, Richard Souther (the piano ballad ‘It’s Been Quite A Year’) and Wendell Burton. Appearances by Al Perkins, Richard Souther, Tim Archer and Terry Talbot. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
