In Concert (Audio Engineering Associates AEA 1290) 1980
Simple coffeehouse-style live recording of young semi-hairy Jesus person Tom Thomas accompanied by his acoustic guitar. The program includes original songs like ‘Smiling’, ‘One, Two, Three’, ‘Sinner’s Prayer’ and the blues-boogieing ‘I Feel Good’. Also works in covers of ‘Blessed Assurance’, ‘Just A Closer Walk’ and an instrumental run through ‘The Hallelujah Chorus’. Interspersed with some humorous discussions, including one on the subject of childhood piano recitals. One appearance of harmonica, and one song where the guitar is exchanged for piano. Tom’s guitar work and decent folk-singer voice coupled with the cordial relaxed atmosphere and homey presentation makes this an enjoyable item. Took place May 5, 1979 in Upland, California. Simple b&w cover photo of Tom with his guitar. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
