Whisperwood (no label, no #) 1978

Five-man band striking up a pleasant Pat Terry Group kind of sound on their melodic pastoral folk-rock/soft-rock custom. 12-string guitar joins piano, electric piano, synthesizer, bass and drums on titles like ‘God Is Alive’, ‘God’s Ambassador’, ‘One Blade Of Grass’, ‘You Are The Light (Of The World)’, ‘A Crying In My Soul’ and ‘A Place In The Sun’. Playful jazz flourishes here and there, along with a few decent acoustic guitar leads. Breezy upbeat numbers as well as some ballads, all written by band member Jeff Weir. Doesn’t say where they’re from, but there’s a thanks to Winding Way Community Church. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you George for the front and rear cover photos.
