Movin’ Mountains (Lad 4010) 1976?
Eight-man band with appealing rural-touched home-made folk-rock style where acoustic strains and electric leads are joined by piano and creative synthesizer moves. Mostly original songs, including the brisk Way—like opener “Son Shine’. Fast retro rock-and-roll complete with bop-shoo-bops is explored on ‘50s’. A number of ballads as well in ‘He’s Alive’ (not the Francisco song), ‘My Children’, ‘Lord I’m Corning’, ‘Ty’s Song’ and the title tune. Also covers of Love Song (“Front Seat, Back Seat’, ‘Praise The Lord’) and Randy Matthews (‘Didn’t He’). Label is out of Joplin, Missouri. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet.
