Everyone Needs (Airborn ARP 8851) 1975?
Although I’m not especially drawn to large folk groups (27 members in this case), these folks don’t seem to fare too badly. Of course this is the Airbom label where higher standards reside, plus folk-singers Ron and Bill Moore happen to be part of the gang. Mostly cover songs, including selections by CSNY (‘Teach Your Children’), Elton John (‘Love Song’), Paul Simon (‘Sparrow’) and Carole King (‘I Think I Can Hear You’). Spiritual material is represented by ‘Valley Of Hope’, ‘Day By Day’, ‘Wedding Song’, Love Song’s ‘Two Hands’ and Pat Terry’s ‘I Can’t Wait (To See Jesus)’. The male/female ensemble vocals are fairly plain but not annoying, with occasional solo singers here and there. Primarily backed by acoustic guitar and bass, plus some piano, harp and tambourine. Title track is from the Hope album on the A&M label. An outreach of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for pointing out that the post I had here was already posted. I have therefore converted this one by the same group in it’s place. I also added additional information to the original post and updated the track list on that album. Thank you also for the track list and improved rear cover photo of this album.
