Friends (Blue Ridge BR87 7 2) 1976?

Quality Virginia acoustic rock/folk-rock custom with rural air from three guys and a girl, each of whom contributes to the song-writing. The edgiest tracks include electric guitar leads, the best example being the opening ‘America’ with its wispy ethereal mood and flashes of groups like Horizon and The Way. ‘Mountains’ and ‘Times Are Changin’ are attractive simple acoustic ballads with Arp string backing. Some folky melodic soft rock with electric piano, some James Taylor-ish country folk. The Arp Omni synthesizer creatively comes to the forefront on a couple tracks, including a quirky instrumental of ‘I’ll Fly Away’. Mostly male lead vocals, although the girl takes over for ‘Time’ and the harmonica-backed “You’ve Given Up’. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.  Thank you Discogs for the label and rear cover photos.
