Friends Of The Family - Celebrate

Friends Of The Family is a group of four girls and five guys with a melodic light rock/folk-rock style on their custom lp. Acoustic guitars, electric bass and drums, plus brass backing on a lot of the tracks. Also some harmonica, flute and banjo. Has a vibe comparable to groups like The Forerunners or Armageddon Experience. Appears to be all original songs, including ‘Berrigan’s Song’ (a reference to radical priest Daniel Berrigan perhaps?), ‘Lay Me On Down’ ‘Come And See The Lord’ and ‘Will You Shine For Me’. Also some brief ones like ‘Lord Have separate side projects (The Alwyn Wall Band, Malcolm & The Mirrors) and reunite for a live album in 1981. ‘Mercy’, ‘Holy Holy Holy’ and ‘Lamb Of God’ that were presumably part of a Mass. Executive advisor is Desi Arnaz (hmmm, would that be the Desi Arnaz?) From California I’m assuming since it was recorded in San Diego. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.  Thank you Donald for the track list and rear cover photo.
