By this date they’d cut out a good deal of the ‘70s folk and prog edges, replacing them with ‘80s AOR influences (which is pretty much what most prog bands were doing at the time). Still rocking strong though, with greater use of synthesizer alongside the rock guitars. ‘Emptiness’ opens the album with a slow sleek blues groove ala Atlanta Rhythm Section. Three more songs in English finish out the side: ‘Like Any Other Man’, ‘Just Another End’ and a quasi-new—wave cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘When You Gonna Wake Up’ (yunno, the guy almost sounds like a German Dylan). On side two the boys return to their native tongue for ‘Warurn Zeigst Du Mir’ (with an older Band-like classic—rock sound), ‘Der Andere’, ‘Gedanken Zu Damals’ and ‘Adam W0 Bist Du’. Closes with the English-sung title track, a fast-driving rock-and—roller . about the 8:00 news when Jesus returns (reports of cars without drivers, planes without pilots, etc.) Cover is a television set with a map of the world on the screen. Same German label as the Eden lps. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
