St Benedict's Farm - Remember Me

No sound collages on this one, but still plenty of that grain-fed rural folk music. Very austere format, usually just the male lead singer, an acoustic guitar and two backup singers (one female, one male). Organ joins in on a few selections, sometimes a bit churchy, but also bringing a quirky quality to ‘The Man Next Door’ (which is described as having a “naughty rhythm”). ‘Come Alive!’, ‘The Lord Is Here’, ‘The Lord Is My Light’, some brief liturgical refrains. Also titled Songs For Breaking Bread. “The object is not musical sophistication, but rather sharing the flavor of one’s prayer life with others and breaking with them the Word in song.” (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
