Fishers, The - Hide In The Rock

The Fishers are British brothers Ewan and Alistair Edwards. They each play acoustic guitar and are basically a folk duo. Once you add in the bass, drums and synthesizer, you’re left with a mellow easy-going acoustic light-rock record. Includes three songs borrowed from The Glorylanders (‘When I Found Out About Jesus”, “Everyone Who Wants To Come’ and ‘Where I Belong’) along with covers of ‘I Heard The Angels Sing’, ‘Questions’ (from Two A Penny), “Jesus Met The Woman’, ‘All My Trials’ (nice female backing vocal) and ‘The Old Rugged Cross’. Also two originals: ‘Open Your Hearts’ and the country—flavored title track. Small brass section on three songs. Not bad, but might’ve been better with just the guitars. Small UK Christian label. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
