Springwater (No label SPW-401) 1977?
Six Oral Roberts University guys and their custom—made expression of flowing melodic soft rock. Light jazz influences and emphasis on smooth vocal harmony makes for some off-and-on similarities to bands like Deliverance, Glad, Sweet Comfort Band and Sorrlight. Attractive use of acoustic and electric guitars on original titles like ‘Springwater’, ‘God Is On The Throne’, “Victory Song” and ‘Sittin’ By The Fire’. Piano, string synthesizer, bass and drums fill out the sound. Includes a purely a cappella track (‘Sing A Song’) and one song with trumpet (‘Sonshine’). A few dragging MOR moments on side two, but overall a pretty fair record. Nice cover painting of river flowing down from a city in the clouds. (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
I have not acquired this album yet.
