On Down The Line (Project One HKP-105) 1980
Another admirable custom recording from Holy Kiss Productions, meaning Randy and Monty Matthews are involved (though this one doesn’t have the actual Holy Kiss label). Frank would seem to fit right in with the same era Randy Matthews and Mike Johnson sound. Gutsy rockers like ‘Four Footprints In The Sand’ and ‘White Horses’ approximate Randy’s sound circa Son Of Dust and Eyes To The Sky. Also some rural and country rock moves, a few softer-edged tracks, and one sidestep into new wave (‘You Were There All The Time’). Nice electric guitar work from Allen Holmes. (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and track list.
