Soul Of A Woman (Franciscan Communication Center no #) 1971
Soul Of A Woman finds Sarah’s attractive alto voice skipping around from solemn ballads to slow torch songs to playful carefree melodies to up-tempo minor-key tunes, carried along by a subdued yet skillful folky sometimes jazzy blend of acoustic guitars, harpsichord, flute, clarinet, violins, piano, bass and percussion. She gets some sprightly rhythms going on ‘Life’ and ‘Reap, Reap’. Other titles include ‘Who Am I’, ‘Weep Little Children’, ‘Life Is A Makin’ Do’, ‘Willow Tree’ and ‘Blue Town’, the latter co-written with Sebastian Temple. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Brian for the corrected song list with times.
