Come On Follow Me (Reap ‘n Sow NR13053) 1981
Often this Toledo, Ohio outfit warmly recalls the excellent Paul Knapp & George Brundick albums. That means a graceful melodic folk-rock style where guitars and keyboards are equal partners. Other times their music leaves impressions of FEL folk artists Ron Griffen & The Leaven. Alternates male and female lead vocals, backed by acoustic and electric guitars, piano, electric piano, synthesizer, bass, drums and percussion. Nice rural rock mood and electric guitar lead on ‘Thorn In My Flesh’. A little bit of boogie works its way into ‘Wonderful Time Up There’. Also a version of The Seekers’ ‘I’ll Never Find Another You’ with revised lyrics. Twelve original songs in all. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the improved front & rear photos and the track times.
