Seed (no label, no #) 1982
Another exquisite collection of classically-influenced acoustic worship songs, delicately fashioned with such instruments as recorder, viola, classical and acoustic guitars, banjo and exotic percussion (bells, wind chimes, finger cymbals, tablas and woodblock from what I can tell). A touch of Celtic in spots, especially on the excellent ‘Harvest Song’. ‘As A Doe’, ‘Kyrie’ and ‘My Heart Sings’ are sheer perfection. All original songs by Shawn Tracy, Paul Wrynn and Dan Mason, with lyrics mostly derived from the Psalms. Lyric sheet says “Seed (harvest) is the initial release in a trilogy of albums from the collection of He Shall Be Peace.” Makes me wish all Catholic folk could have evolved into something as beautiful as this. Pressed on clear yellow vinyl. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I love this label! and cool yellow vinyl. diakoneo
