The Blessing (No label LH-17527/8) 1978?
The Blessing finds Templeton in a smooth ccm mood, the homemade vibes of Lead On having been exchanged for slicker production that highlights keyboards over guitars. Oh well. Dallas Holm is well represented with covers of ‘Rise ‘Jesus I’m An Open Book’ and ‘Allelujah’. ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, ‘Give Them All’ and ‘All Good Gifts’ are also in here. Glad to see a couple cuts that still have a hands-off natural appeal, namely a cover of Love Song’s ‘Two Hands’ and the country harmonica-backed folk-rocker ‘Learn To Love’.
