Williamson, Mark - So Far So Good

Williamson’s earlier lps found him catering more to pop, disco and MOR tastes. The disco stuff is suitable for the dance floor, soulfully thumping along with sassy bgvs, slick horns and lively strings, like a UK Denny Correll. ‘Join The Revolution’ (with Norman Barrett on lead guitar) has that louder rock edge found on his later Mark Williamson Band records. The ballad ‘Susanne’ would later be extracted for inclusion on the US Lyrix release Songs From The Earth. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

I have not acquired this album yet.  Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
