Butterfly (Light LS-5759) 1979
Children Of The Day’s final album more or less follows the same blueprint as Never Felt So Free — i.e., another set of string and brass orchestrated MOR, easy listening, pop and EZ jazz songs. ‘Easter Morning’ and ‘Glory’ are the group’s first excursions into disco A the latter song is kind of catchy. Also a re-recording of their early classic ‘For Those Tears I Died’. Can’t say a whole lot else grabbed me though. Nice butterfly cover art. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
