Feel The Love (Good News GNX-8104) 1977
Any group that amounted to anything in the ‘70s got to release the coveted double live lp. Examples amongst the Christian camp can be counted on maybe two hands, Love Song being one of the few to receive that honor. Mostly to-the-note reproductions of songs culled from their two studio lps, plus a pair lifted from Chuck Girard’s solo albums. Side 3 provides the only exception with an aggressive re-working of ‘Let Us Be One’, followed by a 7-minute John Mehler drum workout. A few humorous raps included discussing topping the charts in the Philippines, vegetarianism, The Beatles’ White Album. Fun collection of life-on-the road band photos on the inner cover. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
Thank you Donald for the gate-fold photos.
