Disco-Teach Album 1 (Abingdon  no #)  1971

The Mission enters the classroom with this collection of secular songs, putting theit stamp on selections like the New Seekers’ ‘Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma’, Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘El Condor Pasa’, CSNY’s ‘Teach Your Children’, James Taylor’s ‘Fire And Rain’, and the Who’s ‘See Me, Feel Me’, while delivering enlightening commentary between the songs on topics like poverty, the ’60s, the SST and Janis Joplin.  Housed in an eye-catching psychedelic pop-art cover that includes a pouch with a teacher’s and discussion leader’s guide.  A short EP-length item, but nevertheless quite intriguing.  Says “Album One of a six-album series”.      (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
