I Will Follow (Remote DRP 129) 1978?

The beautiful delicate acoustic sounds of Linda and Bette Lownes, two young girls from West Chester, Pennsylvania that I’m assuming are sisters.  Both girls have soft appealing voices hovering in the medium-to-high register that sound especially lovely when they’re in harmony.  All original songs written by Linda, backed primarily by acoustic guitar, with the occasional addition of piano.  Graceful touches of violin and flute enhancing a few tracks.  Other songs receive enrichment through light velvety bongo percussion.  Eight others assisting the twosome, including a couple guys blending in almost unnoticed on some of the background vocals.  Alternates between playful songs, silky acoustic grooves and fragile ballads, leaving a few gentle soft-swaying impressions of artists like Pam Mark and Carole King.  ‘Do You Know’ is one of the prettiest songs I’ve ever heard.  Other sample titles include ‘The Holy Spirit’, ‘Melody Of Love’, ‘With One Voice’, ‘Song For A Brother’, ‘Honey Of Life’, ‘My Golden Home’ and ‘Creation Song’.  A rather gorgeous album overall.     (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
