Nashville Country (House Of Hits FM 75062) 1975?
Gear up for some lightning speed pickin’ and grinnin’ from Dennis and Danny Agajanian on guitar and mandolin/banjo/fiddle respectively. Add in bass, drums and dobro and you’ve got Nashville Country. Turbo instrumentals include ‘Dixie Breakdown’, ‘Dueling Banjos’ and ‘Malaguena’. The rest of the album is a friendly relaxed mix of country, folk, rock and bluegrass that’s hard not to like. Sounds pretty close to Johnny Cash on ‘Weeping Over Jerusalem’. Other covers include ‘On The Road To Julian’, ‘Why Me’, ‘Brother Love Salvation Show’, ‘Listen To The Sound’, and ‘Come To The Rock’. Liner notes by the vice-pres of Youth For Christ/Campus Life. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
