Softly & Tenderly  (Bittersweet  NL-101)  1975

New Life - Softly (Fnt)

Folk custom done softly and tenderly.  Four males and a lead-singing female from Illinois.  Best tunes are the ones that use mandolin and dobro for an earthy quality.  Includes ‘For Those Tears ‘, ‘You Can’t Be A Beacon’, ‘Say I Do’, ‘Back Home Again’, ‘Killing Me Softly’, others. Country-ish at times with pedal steel.     (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
