Something To Share (Profile  GMOR164)  1978  UK *

Upbeat folk/pop from Steve Burton and Trish Dibbon (aka Opal Star) with backup band.   Renditions of Bread’s ‘Diary’ and James Taylor’s ‘Shower The People’ don’t really translate into excitement but most of the album’s not that bad. Includes a perky cover of Larry Norman’s ‘Up In Canada’.  The Duo’s own songs are more interesting, more “Christian”.  Only the whimsical  ‘Vicar’s Song’ and the Parchment-like ‘It’s In Jesus’ have that distinctly British quality.      (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
