Not the most electrifying folk troupe I’ve heard but I suppose they’re managing along all right.  This Australian  male/female octet puts a simple backing of acoustic guitars, drums and bass behind familiar tunes such as ‘I Looked For Love’, ‘Put Your Hand In The Hand’, ‘He’s Everything To Me’, ‘I Believe’, ‘Pass It On’, etc.  Ordinary amateur vocals, plus they could have used some original material.  The drums help.  Includes sixteen songs.  Their mouths are all hanging open on the b&w pic – as if they were in the middle of singing “lahhhhh”.  From Liverpool Methodist Church.     (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
