Canti Della Giovventu (Edizioni Paoline SI 30.15) 1972? Italy *
Melodic Italian folk item featuring a stirring combination percussion of acoustic guitar, male/female harmonies and light percussion. Similar to an Italian version of Catholic folk groups like Guitar Ensemble. Smooth-flowing native folksy kind of sound, set apart by beautiful use of violin, plus some attractive flute and oboe accompaniment. Sixteen songs, all lyrics in Italian. Side one composed by Renato D’Andrea, side two by Giovanni Ferrero. Simple one-piece fold-over cover. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
Sorry I have not located a copy of this album yet, but thank you Donald for the link to the track list and the rear cover photo.
