Jokaiselle Jotakin (Cymbal LP 1978) 1974 Sweden*
Once again The Aaltos succeed in defying categorization on this Swedish release. As you probably guessed from the title , this particular album is recorded in their native tongue, although one song is in English (‘He Died For Me’). Musically they’ve got that electric guitar, organ, and piano rock groove going on, usually in a minor key, with some trumpet, violin, and concertina (a small accordion) stepping in periodically to weird things up or provide a conflicting lounge angle. Features twelve original songs, all written by Ewa-Maria. I can’t quite decide which is the greater wonder: Ewa-Maria’s bounteous braids or Timo’s haystack hairdo. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).
I have not acquired this album yet. Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo and the track list.
