Limited Edition (Baldwin CS 8271) 1979
Limited Edition features five new tracks of the soft rock variety (including a cover of Randy Matthews’ ‘Didn’t He’) while recycling five more from the Holy Kiss albums. Also an acappella version of ‘I’m On My Way To Heaven Anyhow’. Lots of group photos on the back. Not sure how many were made, but each copy appears to come with a numbered sticker (this copy has No. 1777). (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
Tracks:
01. After The Rain
02. You Can’t Stand Up Alone
03. Remove The Bitter Veil
04. Who’s Fool Are You
05. I’m On My Way To Heaven
06. Anyhow
07. Learn To Rely
08. Blow Wind Blow
09. Didn’t He
10. Don’t Send Him Away
Several errors here. It is merely “After the Rain”; it is “You Can’t Stand up Alone”; it is “Remove the Bitter Veil”; 5 and 6 are the same song, (though I am not sure of the name) The refrain is “I’m on my way to heaven anyhow”
I saw them in concert, had their tapes, and still have a deteriorated one I made a long time ago with a lot of the songs.
I do not check that email anymore, by the way.
Just FYI
I am looking for the lyrics to “Remove the bitter veil.” Does anyone have them?
Remove the bitter veil lyrics (to the best of my recollection… I don’t have my turntable setup to be able to listen to the album if it’s even any good any more.)
Remove the bitter veil from my inner eyes.
Cleanse the stinging wound until it satisfies.
Purge from me all selfish greed, the lust and waywardness.
Bring me back to you, master of holiness.
Save me from the deepest doom, destruction of my soul.
Quench in me the burning fire of my selfish goals.
Draw in me a plan of grace, never to be denied.
Let this all be done for you, O master of the tide.
Quiet the restless surging of my inner seas.
Rock me gently on your waves and never set me free
Be the future of my life, the words upon my lips
I’m not worthy of your love, O master of my ship
Mercy, Father, Mercy on me.
I would sink alone and drown, unless you rescue me.
Help me, Father, Help me to stand and never, never set me free.
Those are the words exactly! I just bought a turntable and am listening to the song. Amazing songs back then. I love that album.
