Peace Of The Rock (Behold  GS-000)  1978

Keyboardist Gregg Suriano’s independent release of pop, soft rock and ballads makes suitable company for your Bruce Hibbard, Chris Christian, Doug Howell and Joe English albums.  A mellow style with clean production, but not unbearably smooth.  A few light r&b and soft-jazz touches here and there – every time I hear the opening ‘Where Do You Stand’ I think it’s gonna be Cheryl Lynn’s ‘Got To Be Real’.  Gregg’s keyboards are center stage (piano, electric piano, mellotron), while guest musicians add acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, saxophone and congas.  Yvonne Lewis of Good News appears on background vocals.  (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
