Emmanuel – You Color My Life front

Eight-person  Edmonton, Alberta male/female outfit with mellow rock, pop and ballads style on their custom lp.  Piano, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, sometimes mildly jazzy, touched here and there with gentle strings or light brass.  A few fleeting 2nd Chapter Of Acts, Erick Nelson and Keith Green impressions spread over original songs like ‘Me and Marty John’, ‘May I Rest’, ‘ I Used To Sing’ and ‘Choosin’.   ‘Crayons’ and the driving  ‘Hey, Child’ both have a notable electric guitar solos, while ‘Day Dreams’ supplies a purely acoustic mood.   ‘Chevrolet’ has has a fun retro ’60s pop sound backed by cheesy bubblegum organ.  Front cover is a blank paint-by-numbers canvas, while the back shows the same design with the colors painted in.   (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).

Thanks John for this music.
