With Open Hands (Pastoral Arts PAA 37389)  1980

On With Open Hands the lead vocals and gentle ensemble harmonies richly envelop the music in a manner not unlike the moody choral side  of God Unlimited.  Musically has that perfect blend of folk/acoustic and classical instrumentation, including attractive use of mandolin, flute, oboe, cello and recorder.  The Ellis & Lynch similarities again surface on ‘Let Your Face Shine Upon Us’.  The ballads are especially aglow with feeling, including ‘Taste And See’, ‘I Am A Servant Of The Lord’ and the title track, often with captivating female vocals.  Marty on acoustic guitar, piano, electric piano and percussion, assisted by numerous others.  Both albums were later re-issued on the GIA label.  (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
