Hey! Are You Listening? (Burning Bush BB 333) 1976?

Looks like another fine custom project from the same Connecticut coffeehouse ministry that begat The Brothers And Sisters’ Sing A New Song. This male guitar duo (Zach Douglas and Robin Buchanan) has a good wholesome blend of acoustic folkrock and country folk that’s at times similar to Shiloh. Joining the twosome is Sue Fratus on piano (she was one of the Brothers And Sisters), plus others on bass, drums and additional guitar. Also some banjo and harmonica in there. Pleasant jangly melodic flow to original songs like ‘I Wish Someone Had Told Me’ and ‘Let The World Hear His Voice’. They also do covers of ‘Jesse Taylor’, ‘Didn’t He’, ‘Say I Do’ and ‘Gospel Changes’. Nice rural folksy simplicity shining through. (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).
