Family (Lutheran Bible Institute LBI1001) 1978

If these six Seattle Lutherans sound a little like Joyous Celebration that’s probably because members Bruce and Candy Anderson were members of that group. Family has that same easy MOR-rock kind of sound which typically appeals to mellower tastes, but as with Joyous Celebration I managed to find around three or four cuts which moved me. They do versions of Lamb’s ‘Sacrifice Lamb’, The Way’s ‘Caught In A World’, Randy Matthews’ ‘Hallelujah!’ and Andre Crouch’s ‘Through It All’. Esthetic cover art mirroring the style of old 78 sleeves.       (The Archivist by Ken Scott, 4th Edition).

Thank you Ken for the front cover photo and discogs for the label and rear cover photos and track list.
