Give these five Jesus-praising Californians a big ol’ thumbs up for making one of the most spirited, catchy and creative folk-rock customs ever. Every track on here seems perfectly crafted and bursting with life. It’s that same joyful spirit that made groups like Children Of The Day and The Bridge personal favorites, though Morning Song has their own refreshing style. The production is clean, the song-writing superb. Keyboards play a big role in the sound – the synthesizer especially is expressed in a fun, inventive and varied manner. Guitar lines are fluid, sometimes with phasing or wah-wah. All fronted by infectious male/female harmonies. Everything clicks to make this a first-rate winner. Title track rocks! (Ken Scott – The Archivist).
