Don’t Deny Him (Gospel Folk GFR-1000) 1972?

Twangin’ along country style with a touch of Debbie Kerner and Linda Rich, this California femme folk-singer presents twelve of her own compositions on this home-made recording. Steel guitar is well represented, soaking a couple of these things down to pure country gospel. But there are also some good electric tracks like ‘Faith Can Move A Mountain’ or the tremolo-endowed opener ‘Rich In Jesus’. A few 12-string ‘60s pop moves on the title cut, ‘I Need Nobody But The Lord’, and ‘The Lord Is Calling To His Bride’ (again with spiffy electric guitar). She also did the b&w pencil illustration of Christ on the cover. (Ken Scott – The Archivist).
