Uriah (Uriah CFS-3333) 1973
Big dose of country hospitality on this Colorado singer’s 10-song custom. On the light end are some nice reflective 12-string acoustic ballads, like ‘Seagulls (In The Early Morning)’ with dreamy harpsichord backing. You also get some steady cruisin’ country rockers suitable for head bobbin’ and steering wheel thumpin’ over long stretches of highway. In between are easy-going cowboy tunes with pedal steel and piano. ‘Walkin’ And Talkin’ With Jesus’ turned up on Simple Truth’s Reasons. Some copies say Verne Sings on the front, others just say Uriah (which is sometimes listed as the artist’s name). Uriah means “God is my light”. (Ken Scott – The Archivist).
Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
