Sons Of The Morning (World Library FR-1953-SM) 1970

Another very sullen yet beautiful moody Catholic folk lp from the early days. Eight men share vocal duties, including Vincent Mesi and David Leary who sing lead on Tom Condon’s excellent Wind Off Waters. Musical backing includes 6-string guitar, 12-string guitar and bass. Nestor is the conductor and composer for all the music. ‘From Heaven The Lord Looks Down’ is perhaps his best known song and can be found on a few other Catholic folk lps. One interesting and unique thing about this album is that two songs (‘Genesis’ and the title track) are introduced with some avant-garde electronic sounds, courtesy of Dr. Glenn Glascow of the Electronic Music Department, California State College. (Ken Scott – The Archivist).
