Bilder Aus Mittelerde (Lord 33545) 1984  Germany *

Bilder Aus Mittelerde (Pictures from Central (Middle) Earth) is a work based on the J.R.R. Tolkien works “the Lord of the Rings” and the “Silmarillion”. It is in the Eden tradition a progressive album, with Eden’s Dirk Schmalenbach preforming most of the musical backdrop.

I hope all you Eden & progressive fans enjoy this one.

Here is Ken Scotts – The Archivist writeup:

Bilder Aus Mittelerde (Lord 33545) 1984 Germany *

German group Eden renamed themselves Yavanna for yet another fine release: the Tolkien-inspired Bilder Aus Mittelerde (“Picture Of Middle Earth”). Still very much rooted in ‘70s progressive with melodic classical influences and this time a touch of jazz fusion and new age music. See Eden for the full low-down on their sound.
