Yours Ever (Grapevine GRV 103) 1977 UK*

I once saw a catalog describe Yours Ever as “either incredibly dull or higher-key ethereal folk”. listeners have often faced quandaries of this nature with folks like Dan Fogelberg, a performer I happen to admire and with whom Stewart & Kyle (their last names) sometimes strike a note of resemblance. My wife just said “that’s kind of pleasant” so I guess that clinches it. Their music is acoustic folk, soft and orchestrated, very melodic, with classy vocals, guitar, and piano. Occasionally drifts into innocuous pop Isn’t It Strange and Temporary Residence have their moments but not quite the charm. (Ken Scott – Archivist).
