Vol 2 – Volume II (Century FV 36056) 1970
Although the group’s personnel would typically change from one year to the next, Volume II has mostly the same participants as the first lp. Same harmonized ‘60s folk format, with covers of ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’, ‘Tramp On The Street’, ‘When The Ship Comes In’, etc. They also introduce three of their own songs in the same style: ‘Singing In My Heart’, ‘The Song Of Life’ and the ethereal ballad ‘Sands Of Time’ (nice solo female vocals). Not sure who all gets excited about things like ‘The Cat Came Back’, but it’s here, complete with feline (and canine) sound effects. They’ve climbed up with their instruments onto the Circus Tent sign for the cover photo. (Ken Scott – Archivist).
Thank you Donald for the rear cover photo.
