Sing A New Song (Myrrh MST 6507) 1972 UK *

Classy British folk foursome looking smashingly groovadelic with their shoulder-length mop tops, white suits and pink ties (the guys) and yellow flower-power wide-sleeved mini-skirt (the girl). They play in a zesty accomplished style that’s basically a xerox of The Seekers. Mostly renditions of titles like ‘Streets Of London’, ‘Jesus Met The Woman At The Well’, ‘Seeing Is Believing’, ‘Put Your Hand In The Hand’, ‘Everybody’s Going To Pray’, ‘Lord Make Me An Instrument Of Your Peace’, ‘I Will Arise And Go’, even The Beatles’ ‘Nowhere Man’. Several numbers are performed live and a few have organ and electric guitar. One of the earliest Myrrh UK releases. (Ken Scott – The Archivist).
